THE GIRL WITH CURLS
5 TIPS FOR FLIRTY CURLS AND WONDER-LUSH WAVES
UPDATE YOUR TOOL BOX
Making sure you have the right tools for the job is very much an individual choice when it comes to curling. Some like to stick to their trusty straighteners. For others the wand is where its at. Then there are the die-hard roller girls, who like nothing more than sitting a la French movie at their dressing table all rolled up. If you dont know where to start, chat to your Stylist about what might suit your hair best.
USE A LIGHT CONDITIONER
We love our deep conditioning treatments, but they can sometimes tend to weigh the hair down a little and make it harder to curl. So nows the time to stick to a lightweight conditioner and save the more intense hydrating treatments for the next day when youre keen to repair any heat-caused damage.
SPRAY AND SPRAY SOME MORE
Nows not the time to be shy with your spray. Many make the mistake of piling on the hairspray after styling, but doing nothing beforehand this leads to crunchy curls that can lack in bounce. When hair is still damp, try the Mark Hill Big Volume Spray and youll be free of tackiness whilst obtaining maximum hold. Ensure you give an even coverage and voila very big, very beautiful and those curls will actually last this time!
TRY THE JUST-CURLED PIN
Once you release your hair from the straighter/wand/roller, simply pin the curl to your head until it sets. Once your entire head is pinned, mist it with hairspray. Then, carefully unpin your curls and comb through them with your fingers.
PLAIT YOUR HAIR BEFORE BED
If you grew up with long hair were betting your Mum did this one. But why should little girls have all the fun?! Plaiting hair at night, especially if slightly damp, can be hugely effective in creating cute and subtle waves. How easy??
If you have long, long hair, you will adore the Big Blow Out! Extra Large Brush. It adds bounce to any style, even if you dont go on to curl afterwards.
